Ethel M Chocolates
Elevating a brand on a universal marketplace.
What’s the best way to buy chocolate?
Matchfire and Mars Wrigley have had an ongoing partnership for many years via the Premium Brands sector of the famed chocolate conglomerate. As one of the branches within the Premium Brands world, Ethel M Chocolates has relied on Matchfire to fulfill many of their creative needs. Although seasonal campaigns are a big part of Ethel M’s business, an equally important part is maintaining their commercial viability year-round when holidays aren’t rolling around the corner—the content produced to during this time is often called “evergreen”.
This includes a major refresh of Ethel M Chocolates’ Amazon presence. The company had refreshed its own brand a few years previous, and its Amazon storefront had yet to catch up to the newer look. This presented a major pain point—Amazon is arguably the largest marketplace in the world, and our respective presence there was outdated.
Thus, I became the lead designer for the overall evergreen refresh of the Amazon storefront, as well as the lead designer in seasonal changes to the marketplace that would warrant more specific advertising. This includes updates during our previous holiday and Valentine’s campaigns.
