Ethel M Chocolates

Cheers to the season!

No better present in the world than a box of chocolate.

Matchfire and Mars Wrigley have had an ongoing partnership for many years via the Premium Brands sector of the famed chocolate conglomerate. As one of the branches within the Premium Brands world, Ethel M Chocolates has relied on Matchfire to fulfill many of their creative needs, especially for seasonal campaigns that compromise a sizable chunk of their business. This past holiday season was one of the biggest asks to date, with a bevy of marketing materials needed for the most important campaign of the year. These materials include assistance with both taking and editing holiday photos, creating a print and digital shopping catalog from scratch, in-store signage, social media posts, billboards, and more.

As a junior designer, I assisted with a little bit of everything. From being the lead creative on promotional materials to providing the finishing touches on a lifestyle image, I was doing whatever it took to get this campaign to the finish line. I even was the lead creative for the post-campaign case study for Matchfire’s website, which proved to be a comprehensive and challenging project in its own right. Although this proved occasionally daunting to a new junior designer like myself, I rose to the occasion and put together some of my favorite work to date.

All three options presented to the client for the physical flyer for a preview of their annual Holiday Cactus Garden.

Left: Billboard for “Forever Yours” seasonal candy.

Right: Digital screens for Ethel M retail locations at both landscape and portrait orientations.

Both options presented to client for the annual holiday discount for friends & family of Ethel M Chocolates associates.

Product images edited and composed by me for all online sale applications of Ethel M Chocolates.

NOTE: I did not originally take the photos of the individual chocolate pieces used for the product images.

This campaign was truly all-hands-on-deck, and took a village to coordinate all of the moving pieces. Thus, I would especially like to thank and properly credit members of my team who I worked to make this campaign happen. :
